The new Italian bistro will offer a business and family friendly Italian menu in Downtown North Miami
NORTH MIAMI, FL – (December 2022) – On Friday, December 16th, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, the North Miami CRA will celebrate the grand opening of One Café, a new Italian bistro that opened its doors in Downtown North Miami (NE 125th St and NE 6th Court). The event will feature complimentary samplings of the restaurant’s menu as well as a special selection of wine and cocktails.
As part of the CRA’s mission of empowering and supporting local businesses, One Café received a $150,000 Business Attraction Grant to remodel the interior space of the building, apply new paint and light fixtures, and install exterior signage.
“We are thrilled to welcome One Café to downtown North Miami,” said Neil Shiver, Executive Director of the NMCRA. “We are proud to support this new restaurant as it represents the future of Downtown North Miami and solidifies our community as a hotspot for exciting restaurants, businesses, and events.”
One Café will operate under the direction of Neapolitan Chef and Manager Alessandro Manzo, who formerly worked at Capriccio Pembroke Pines and Mangos Fort Lauderdale. One Café will be open Monday-Sunday from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. The bistro offers a happy hour from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM with its own food bar menu, which is offered 7 days a week. One Café will begin dinner service on Monday, December 19th.
“As a new business, our experience with the North Miami CRA and the City has been very positive and rewarding,” said Jose and Alex Cobo, Owners of One Café. “The CRA grant process was very well organized and we were fortunate to have received great guidance and instructions, which resulted in a successful grant process. It is evident that North Miami is actively working to improve the business environment and the quality of life of its residents, and we are very excited to be part of this effort. There is a friendliness and vibe that is not felt as much in other parts of the county.”
The NMCRA’s Business Attraction & Expansion Grant is part of a robust commercial grants program that includes several new initiatives led by the NMCRA to support local area business owners. This specific program facilitates improvements to business and residential structures in the CRA’s Community Redevelopment Area by providing financial assistance for, among other things, interior, and exterior improvements, while also reducing the incidence of slum and/or blighted conditions in the area.
