Anna-Bo Emmanuel, Esq. FRA-RA

Anna-Bo Emmanuel, Esq., FRA-RA, CP3P currently serves as Executive Director of the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). The agency’s mission is “to improve the residents' quality of life by eliminating and preventing slums and blight, while enhancing the property tax base within the redevelopment area.” As Executive Director, Emmanuel leads the execution of the redevelopment plan for the agency’s designated boundaries, which make up approximately 60% of the City of North Miami. She also recently ended her tenure as Interim City Manager for the City of North Miami, a position she held for 14 months.

Ms. Emmanuel previously served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Southeast Overtown/ Park West CRA and Assistant Director of the City of Homestead CRA. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Miami, her Juris Doctor degree from the Florida International University College of Law and also holds her LLM in Real Estate and Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law.

Ms. Emmanuel is a Class VIII member of the Miami Fellows and is currently the District 8 appointee on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the General Obligations Bond Program for Miami-Dade County. She is also a member of several voluntary bar associations including the Caribbean Bar Association and the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association.
