Vibrant North Miami

The new CRA plan refocuses the redevelopment efforts on economic development as a tool to drive growth in Tax Increment Revenues, which can then be reinvested into the additional strategies identified by the plan such as community benefits, infrastructure, affordable housing, and neighborhood enhancement.

The plan's economic development strategy focuses on Downtown redevelopment including arts and culture, mixed-use and residential development, and the future Tri-Rail Coastal Link station.

North Miami is a suburban city located in northeast Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The city lies on Biscayne Bay and hosts the Biscayne Bay Campus of Florida International University, and the North Miami campus of Johnson & Wales University. Originally the town of "Arch Creek", the area was incorporated as the "Town of Miami Shores", which was renamed the "Town of North Miami" in 1931. Then in 1953, the town was renamed the "City of North Miami." The city is also home to the Oleta River State Park, which is the state's largest urban park. As of 2025, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 58,454. North Miami is the fourth largest City in Miami-Dade County.
